Vitra Eames Moulded Plastic Armchair DAW – Black / Dowel Base

Designed by Charles & Ray Eames, the Eames Moulded Plastic Armchair DAW is one of the most recognisable designs of the 20th century, pairing the sculptural armchair shell with the distinctive timber dowel base.

This example features a black moulded plastic shell set on warm timber legs with contrasting black steel cross-bracing. The combination gives the chair a strong, architectural appearance while retaining the organic curves and relaxed proportions characteristic of the Eames design.

A versatile piece that works equally well as a dining chair, occasional chair or desk chair, and sits comfortably within both contemporary and mid-century interiors.

Condition
Pre-owned and in good overall condition for its age, with light surface marks and general signs of use. The timber dowel base shows minor wear but remains solid and structurally sound.
