The AC 4 was designed by Antonio Citterio for Vitra and launched in 2008, the next step in his series of office chairs that began with the AC 1. Citterio’s aim was a straightforward, reductive chair where the technical features are neither put on display nor hidden under thick padding.
This is the conference version: black leather over a self-supporting back with horizontally stitched padding, polished die-cast aluminium ring armrests, and a polished aluminium five-star base on castors. The look recalls the Eames Aluminium Group, with a synchronised recline that adjusts to your weight.
Condition
Pre-owned. The leather is in good condition. The polished aluminium armrests show minor scuffs and some marks from an old sticker. See photos.
