The Low Pad was designed by Jasper Morrison for Cappellini in 1999. Morrison admired Poul Kjærholm’s PK22 for how little material it used, and set out to make a chair with the same lightness and more comfort.

The result is a thin curved plywood shell with shaped foam pads, the leather stitched tight over the top, on a slim satin stainless steel base. It looks spare and sits soft.

These are in taupe leather with the padded headrest panel.

Condition
Pre-owned. Two available, and each varies slightly. There are a few small marks in the leather on the back and headrest, shown in the close-up photos. Leather is a natural material, so variations in grain and colour and a gentle patina from use are part of its character, not defects.
