Artek Stool 60 by Alvar Aalto – Natural Birch

Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933 for Artek, the Artek Stool 60 is one of the most iconic pieces of Scandinavian furniture design. Recognised for its clean lines and ingenious construction, the stool remains a timeless example of functional, modern design.

Crafted from natural birch, the Stool 60 features Aalto’s pioneering L-leg construction, where bent laminated wood allows the legs to attach directly to the seat without complex framing. The result is a strong, lightweight stool with a distinctive sculptural form.
